BEAUFORT — The Carteret County Board of Education approved the 2022-23 school calendar Tuesday that has students scheduled to report back to classes Monday, Aug. 29.

MOREHEAD CITY — It’s been a little more than two years since Marine Science and Technologies Early College High School freshman Alex Doss died, and his parents want a way to keep his memory alive by helping other students.

BEAUFORT — A group of parents and students have withdrawn their motion for a preliminary injunction seeking a court order to force enrollment of freshmen students this school year at the Marine Science and Technologies Early College High School.

BEAUFORT — Cory Johnson will serve as the principal of Marine Sciences and Early College High School, according to a press release issued Monday afternoon by the Carteret County school system.
