BEAUFORT —  Funding issues with the North Carolina Department of Transportation have led to the postponement of two major infrastructure projects in Beaufort.

This is according to Town Manager John Day, who updated town commissioners on the status of the ongoing Cedar Street and roundabout projects at their Monday evening regular session at the Broad Street train depot.

“This is true all across the state,” Mr. Day said of the project delays.
