A criminal summons has been issued for a Swansboro businessman charging the tow truck operator with misdemeanor abandonment of an animal.
Ronald W. Hughes, 56, of Cherrywood Lane in Swansboro, was investigated by the Onslow County Animal Control and Shelter for allegedly tossing three, 50-day-old kittens into a roadway ditch on 4H-Camp Road near the entrance to the former 4H Camp, now part of Hammocks Beach State Park. Hughes is the owner of All Mighty Towing & Recovery LLC, according to the N.C. Secretary of State.

Did someone rescue thee kittens? Is he going to be penalized ? He should serve community service in animal shelters for years to come, but who would trust him
The kittens have been rescued and placed in foster care by Onslow County Animal Services. I contacted them a few days ago and they confirmed that the kittens are in foster care but they did not respond to my question about any additional kittens or the mother. They are accepting donations for their care via the amazon wishlist on their page.
Spay your cat, if it is your cat. If is is your cat, I feel badly for it. Surely if you have the intelligence to run a business, you know about humane shelters.....enough said.
This horrible man's business is closed now and all inboxes are full. I hope social media is able to put him out of business for good! How hard would it have been to take them to a shelter.... Looks like the kittens are in foster care now :)
I can't say what I really want to say because I'd be kicked off 🙃. He's a very cold hearted person with no soul. Maybe I should go stand in front of his business with a sign so everyone knows what he did
