Meet Leslie Allred of Rise & Shine Nutrition, Carteret County’s first nutrition bar. A former resident of Morehead City and Beaufort, Leslie studied business and marketing while in school and has a background in nutrition. She is also a certified personal trainer through the American Sports and Fitness Association and has several years’ experience in high-volume bartending and management.

When the time came to open her own business – offering meal replacement shakes and energizing teas – there was no doubt that Leslie would choose to come back to the county where she grew up. With very limited places to “eat clean” in the area, she is proud to provide the community with nutritious –and delicious – options in a wide variety of products and flavors.

Offering an eclectic menu, nutrition information for every product, and personal service, Rise & Shine Nutrition is the first “health bar” in the area and is located at 278 Highway 24, Suite D

, in close proximity to Lowes, Walmart and Staples. Now offering curbside delivery (due to COVID-19) Leslie welcomes new customers and appreciates the loyalty of those who have supported her and her new venture since opening on March 7. She encourages new and returning customers to stay up-to-date on new products and helpful ideas for healthy living through the Rise & Shine Nutrition website at www.riseandshinecc.com, as well as through social media. Follow the Rise & Shine Nutrition on Facebook to be alerted to special promotions and product offerings.

Rise & Shine will soon be opening its doors for customers to come in, have a seat and enjoy a wide selection of flavorful shakes and energy-boosting teas in a coastal-inspired atmosphere. Vendor events, product sampling, group workouts, workshops and many other opportunities to celebrate health and nutrition – while showing support for local businesses  - are also planned in the near future. In the meantime, Leslie invites you to call ahead and place your order, to be delivered curbside, at 919-339-9369. (Open Monday through Saturday).
