Nola Mae Willis, 96, of Harkers Island, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay in Sea Level.

Her service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Free Grace Wesleyan Church on Harkers Island, officiated by the Rev. Clint Nelson and the Rev. Patrick Whaley. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.

Nola was a lifelong member of Free Grace Wesleyan Church, where she loved to worship. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Veronica Starr Ayers and husband Curtis of Harkers Island and Suzette Kelly Lucas of Maxton; grandsons, Terry Yeomans and wife Vicki, Rodney Yeomans, Corey Long, Billy Gillikin and Michael Gillikin and fiancée Carrie Lynch; great-granddaughter, Tara Long; great-great-granddaughter, Piper Lenora Gillikin; great-great-grandson, Ezekiel “Zeke” Long; many loving nieces and nephews; and close friends, Nancy Wells, Kim Lupton, Karen and Jack Rector, Michelle and Brian Moore and Louise and Brian Hauser.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Perry Willis; daughters, Perry Lou Willis and Angela Renee Willis; sisters, Sarah Ella Davis, Cora Guthrie, Clara Willis and Mabel Lawrence; brothers, Walter Davis, Henry Davis, Tilton Davis and Hubert Davis; and sons-in-law, Phil Yeomans and Charles Lucas.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
