MOREHEAD CITY — Investigators with the Morehead City Police Department are getting an arrest warrant for robbery with a dangerous weapon for Christopher Shingleton in reference to a June 6 incident at First Bank.

Mr. Shingleton is currently being held in the Craven County detention center for a separate robbery that occurred in Havelock June 15, according to a Monday evening release. Other departments are getting warrants for crimes in their respective jurisdictions, as well.

These charges are a result of the consolidated effort of investigation between Morehead City Police Department, Jacksonville Police Department, Havelock Police Department, the Craven County Sheriff's Office, the Carteret County Sheriff's Office, Greenville Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation.

First Bank, on the corner of Highway 24 and Hodges Street in Morehead City, was robbed the afternoon of June 6.
