CAPE CARTERET —The town’s weekly community market will be in the parking lot in front of the town hall and police department Friday instead of in the park behind town hall.

Town Manager Zach Steffey said the move is to give the market, which is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., more visibility to motorists on Highway 24.

Town hall is at the corner of Dolphin Street and Highway 24.

The market features vendors selling a variety of produce, art and crafts. There will also be a bounce house for kids during the market, but it will be in the park behind town hall. There will be a few vendors there, too.

A food truck will be in front of town hall in the parking lot.
