CEDAR POINT — Officials here and in Swansboro announced Friday that longtime Cedar Point Town Administrator Chris Seaberg has accepted the job as town manager in Swansboro.
Mr. Seaberg confirmed the announcement Friday afternoon, and said he is excited about “a great career move."
“Swansboro has a lot going for it,” he said, but he added that he will be sad to leave Cedar Point.
Under the terms of his contract with Cedar Point, Mr. Seaberg has to give the town 60 days notice, so he said he expects to start work in Swansboro in late August.
Cedar Point put out an official statement Friday, which read, “We here at town hall are like a big family and we will surely miss Chris, but wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
The town is now accepting applications and resumes for the town administrator position.
A more detailed story will appear in the Wednesday edition of the News-Times.
