BEAUFORT — Town police have arrested one man in connection to heroin charges.

Around 7 p.m. Wednesday,the Beaufort Police Department executed a search warrant at 501 Pine St., according to the Thursday release.

After an investigation, Rodney Bruce Oden, 26, of Beaufort, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin, two counts of selling heroin, two counts of delivering heroin, two counts of manufacturing heroin and one count of maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of manufacturing, selling and delivering controlled substances.

Additional charges are still pending.

Mr. Oden is currently being held in the Carteret County jail on a $75,000 secured bond.
