Austin Shedd scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist to lead the Swansboro Middle School boys soccer team to a 7-0 victory over the host Dixon Mariners on Feb. 24.

Jacob Lemasters and James Dolph both added a goal and an assist for the 3-0 Pirates. Dylan Sanders, Ian Cole and Tyler Lohrs each found the back of the net, and Bramwell Pace and Daniel Slater were both credited with an assist.

“The team did a good job of passing the ball into wide spaces and making combina-tion passes,” said Swansboro head coach J.C. Miller.

Goalies Hunter Henry and Michael Finn shared the shut-out.
